Why the hell do people like things on facebook so much!? it used to be about liking fan pages that would post mildly interesting stuff from time to time...but now there are websites dedicated to this trite in which liking has no real purpose other than for someone to write that absolutely everyone has done and tell people to like it if they have done it e.g. "Like this if you have ever farted" it probably has about 168K likes. WHY? do these people expect to be the envy of their friends (if they have any?) It just fills your newsfeed with childish crap....at least I spam statuses on purpose (when i'm not drunk).
Remove yourselves from the herd of sheep that are the 'Likers'!

Writing with your Feet?
Sounds almost impossible doesn't it! Chances are you may have seen some videos of grown Men/Women painting with their feet, but a 5 year old?
This Chinese boy called Luo Yanbo wasn't born without hands. They were amputated when he was 3 years old after suffering a tragic accident when he touched an unprotected wire, electrocuting him. In two years, he has learnt (with the help of his parent) to do most things a person with hands can do, but with his feet. He can write, answer the telephone, use a fork to eat and is leading a happy life.
It just shows how amazing people like this are. Fair enough, he is only little and not having hands probably wont affect him as much as say a 20 year old, but to pull through this accident and learning to cope with these difficulties is truly admirable.

Coca Cola's 'Secret Recipe'
Well it seems as though some people have found a picture of a guy holding a book which contains a replica of the recipe for Coca Cola. The Ingredients are as follows:
The 'secret recipe'
Fluid extract of Coca 3 drams USP
Citric acid 3 oz
Caffeine 1oz
Sugar 30 (it is unclear from the markings what quantity is required)
Water 2.5 gal
Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt
Vanilla 1oz
Caramel 1.5oz or more to colour
7X flavour (use 2oz of flavour to 5 gals syrup):
Alcohol 8oz
Orange oil 20 drops
Lemon oil 30 drops
Nutmeg oil 10 drops
Coriander 5 drops
Neroli 10 drops
Cinnamon 10 drops
Reading this, it's quite shocking. Some of the ingredients I can understand and can taste such as Cinnamon and Caramel e.t.c. But I had no idea that there was Alcohol in Coke....

Valentines Day
Well that was just like any other day to be honest.....
I did not see any cards, flowers, gifts of any kind and I did not hear anybody say "Happy Valentines day" to anyone. The only instances came from facebook, but even then, they weren't directed at anybody in particular. A valentines message sent into the void of facebook's servers............
I don't really see the point in Valentines day though to be honest. It is just another holiday that you have to spend money to have a good time with your partner and to celebrate your love for one another. That doesn't make sense though! If you 'love' each other, then there should be no need to celebrate on a particular day, you should celebrate it all year round.
I may be biased because I am single and have never had a proper relationship before :(
but surely a lot of you bloggers must agree with me?

Wine Shelf Collapse
I'm pretty sure that a lot of people have seen this video. It seems to have gone viral!
I can really sorta empathize with this situation as I used to work in a shop like this, stacking alcohol some ranging up to £20,000. Imagine how it would feel for the whole thing just to collapse and break.
That said, the guy was not fired for this as the managers saw this video and realised that it was clearly not his fault but the fault of whoever built the shelf. I've often wondered what it would look like working in that shop for a whole shelf to fall down, and my vision was somewhat similar to this video haha!

Sleep
Why do I find it so difficult to wake up in the mornings? I do all the usual tricks like setting the alarm and leaving it over the far side of my room, meaning that I will have to get out of bed to turn it off. My alarm these days seem to be 'Maximum the Hormone - Zetsubou Billy' or 'The rising fighting spirit' which aren't exactly peaceful songs to wake up to.
Ok, so the waking up part isn't exactly difficult, it is more the 'staying awake' part that always seems to get me. If I have an important thing to do, such as having an exam, or some other compulsory thing then I find it easier to stay awake. For normal lectures however, there are sometimes I just can't stay awake. The cause of this is the temptation of bed, of sleep and the thought that I will just rest my eyes for a bit, only to wake up an hour later and realise that you have missed a lecture.
Getting to sleep seems to be a problem now as well. It's not as though I have insomnia, or am physically unable to sleep. I just seem to choose not to. There are so many thing that I just have to do then and there, usually involving watching a movie, playing xbox, listening to music or just general facebook viewing. I always think about how "I am gonna regret it in 5 hours" when I have to wake up, but my mind has kinda been programmed to do all this stuff before I am able to sleep.
Feel free to leave a comment with your 'going to bed' routines and which alarms you have these days.

Cornwall is RICH!
I was actually quite surprised to find this news story.
Cornwall is my home county, and it is one of the places hit hardest by the recession in the UK. Cornwall is famous for it's mining history....as well as Pastys and Cornish Rattler cider. But I digress, recently in a local mine (namely South Crofty) there has been found a substance called 'Indium' which is used A LOT in the technology industry, with the main use being as an ingredient in LCD televisions and screens for iPads e.t.c. So there is a pretty wide market for this.
Word is that the mining industry may be picking up again in Cornwall as to obtain the Iridium. I'll be keeping my ears open.
